Michigan mother loses her entire family to coronavirus as her husband, 59, and only son, 20, die within days of one another.
Sandy Brown of Grand Blanc told The Detroit News she was in unimaginable pain after she lost both her husband, Freddie Lee Brown Jr, and her son Freddie Lee Brown III to Covid-19 in three days.
“There’s not even a word created to explain my pain. It’s unimaginable,” she told the newspaper.
Her husband, who had a kidney transplant in 2012, fell ill in mid-march and was admitted to Ascension Genesys Hospital where he was eventually placed on a ventilator, the report said consistent with the report, nurses ordered that Ms. Brown shouldn’t enter the room but she insisted on getting into , wearing protective gear, to mention goodbye.
The day after her husband died, Ms Brown’s son, who has asthma, also fell ill with a small fever and a cough, Ms. Brown told the local paper.
Despite early signs of improvement, her only child’s condition deteriorated and he also gave up the ghost from the virus. It was like we both were anticipating recuperating again,” she told The Detroit News.
“In three days, I lost my husband and son to an unsightly plague,” she said later. “I watched my son go from completely well and whole and happy to being gone in three days.”
The respiratory virus causes mild flu-like symptoms in most of the people but in some cases can cause serious complications which will be fatal.
Despite her contact together with her husband and son, Ms Brown has as of yet show no signs of Covid-19, the report said.
This is extremely sad. My deepest condolences to her.
