Valentine’s Day- How the love spreads
Valentine’s Day, too called St. Valentine’s Day, (February 14) when lovers express their fondness with welcome and blessings. The occasion has its beginnings within the Roman celebration of Lupercalia, held in mid-February. The celebration, which celebrated the approaching of spring, included richness customs and therefore the blending of ladies with men by lottery. At the conclusion of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I supplanted Lupercalia with St. Valentine’s Day. It came to be celebrated as each day of romance from approximately the 14th century.
